We’re here to put you at ease as you part ways with these once-treasured items; It is a straightforward and rewarding process. In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps of how to sell your jewelry with ease and confidence.
Step 1: Gather Your Jewelry and Other Valuable Items
The first step in selling your jewelry is to gather all the pieces you're considering selling. At Copper Canary Fine Jewelry Boutique, we accept a wide range of fine jewelry, including gold, platinum, sterling silver, and all types of gemstones. Whether your jewelry is in pristine condition or has seen better days, we welcome it all. There are a couple factors to consider if you’re sorting through your jewelry and wondering if it’s something that we may accept for our program:
- Do you own the item? In other words - is it yours to sell?
- If the item has a gemstone(s), is it naturally earth mined or is it lab grown? We only accept earth-mined diamonds. In most cases, we only accept synthetic stones if they are genuine antiques. However, if your item is gold, we will still consider purchasing, and we’ll hand you back the stone.
- Are you looking to part with your valuables or are you looking for an appraisal? While we're happy to provide evaluations and assessments of your jewelry, it's important to note that we do not offer appraisals for insurance purposes. Our focus is on providing you with fair and competitive offers for your jewelry, allowing you to unlock its value through store credit or cash.
Step 2: Explore Your Options
Once you've gathered your jewelry, it's time to explore your options. At Copper Canary, we offer three convenient options for selling or trading your valuables:
Exchange: Exchange your jewelry for store credit, which you can use towards a future purchase at our store.
Trade-In: Do a full or partial trade for an item in our store, allowing you to upgrade your jewelry collection.
Sell Outright: Sell your jewelry to us for cash on the spot, providing you with immediate financial relief.
Step 3: Visit Our Store
With your jewelry in hand and your options in mind, it's time to visit our store. We are located at 2590 North Eagle Road in Meridian, Idaho, just north of the Village. When you visit us, know that we accept both walk-ins and appointments. We see several people a day, so an appointment is encouraged if you are working on a scheduled timeframe.
Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable staff who will guide you through the selling process. If you choose, we have a separate conference room where we assess your items to respect the value of your pieces and the privacy of your circumstances. Our expert graduate gemologist will carefully examine your jewelry and other valuables, assessing quality and value. If it meets our criteria for purchase, we'll provide you with a fair and competitive offer for an exchange, trade, or buy.
Step 4: Make a Decision
If you opt for an exchange or trade, feel free to browse our showroom for any items that catch your fancy! We have personal stylists available to answer any questions you may have about our jewelry and accessories. And if you decide to exchange or trade your valuables for store credit, enjoy an additional 25% added trade-in value during the months of April and May!
